Can the puzzle also do half turns on the faces that have the gears?

    Hi Tom,

The top face can make quarter turns in relation to the bottom face. The gears are then following at half speed, i.e. one eight turn per quarter turn of the top face.

The side faces can only make half turns. In that respect, the movement is more limited than a true 2x2x2 Rubik's Cube.

I hope the YouTube clip provides some clarification.

Remarkable mechanics! It's amazing how well they work.

I've had some interest in ordering a copies of your puzzles, but the costs have been frightening. ;)
