DoctorOctoroc @johnnyfl I've thought about offering certain metals but the cost would be so astronomical that in the end it would be just as well to have them machined. As far as 3d printed offerings, plastic is the best bet since the tolerances are more forgiving and the price is more affordable.
DoctorOctoroc @GL2814 Yes! A perfect finish!
DoctorOctoroc @calvinhobbs Okay, polished is available! I haven't personally ordered any of the dyed plastics, polished or not, but I have heard that it's not dyed throughout as you may think - it's more of a surface dye and to be honest, a few coats of paint will take care of the light bleed. The composition of the plastic is semi-porous throughout so dying won't be as effective in blocking light as paint on the surface. I also have painted the inside of certain pieces black before to cut back on the bleed even more.
DoctorOctoroc @calvinhobbs Sure, I can make it available. However, the fit on many of the pieces would be looser than their regular WSF counterparts as the polishing process will remove a bit of the surface friction.
DoctorOctoroc @GL2814 Another member on the Replica Prop Forum put those together. We designed our kits to work with each other.
DoctorOctoroc @GL2814 I gotcha - I'm assuming it was one of the pieces between "slots"? Did it arrive broken, break during assembly or while removing sprues? Just curious at what point the force was too much for it.
DoctorOctoroc @GL2814 Awesome! Which pieces gave you trouble? Were they parts that were attached by sprues?
