bumper1b You're not gonna like this....170 bucks! And that is with a very small mark up. If you're still interested-great-but it's gotta be the 'strong and flexible-unpolished'resin. If this is too much, email me @ bumper1b@gmail.com, I've got an idea....
bumper1b@Hotdog If you're willing to pay-sure. What's the ID of the 5.5 body so I can rescale the 'coupler' accordingly?
ccorwayHere's another idea for making the fairings on the Saturn V: design the fairings so that they fit the body tube, like the Moldin' Oldies version shown here: https://www.siriusrocketry.biz/ishop/moldin-oldies-srmo-sv-1100-1-100-saturn-cone-and-fairing-set-294.html You can then sell separately the stringer sections for the rest of the lower thrust structure.

bumper1bwow-that is cool! I really like the reinforced BPS/LES. That's a great idea. I really liked your drawing as well. Isn't great to draw something or model something and the comparing it to the real thing? You get that tingle? But I haven't gone back and updated the drawings with the umbilical connections....I'm on to other things :). But now you hooked me...I'm gonna start on some fairings tonight.
ccorwayCool! I'll send you the full set that I have. Building the fairings shouldn't be too bad by themselves (and less tail-heavy!) The stringer sets between the fairings should work OK as well. That's how the older Estes #2001 Saturn V with the cardstock corrugations was put together.
