I'm a mechanical engineer, artist and maker. I have been using AutoCAD to make 3D models for 15 years, and used other programs before that dating back to 1997. I currently mainly use AutoCAD, MeshMixer, with some Blender, TopMod, Fusion 360 and Wings3D mixed in. I've worked hundreds of 3D projects, currently work for Tinkerine Studios, and am a former designed for MakerBot Industries.
My hobby is creating extremely accurate replicas of film and television props as well as props for actual screen use. I also make a lot of jewelry and engineering prototypes. I have access to high-end professional 3D scanning equipment so for some projects, that may come in handy as well.
I run www.custom3dstuff.com and the collaborative crowd-sourced sculpture website WeTheBuilders.com. I am a member of the Baltimore Node Makerspace where I have access to a large laser-cutter, on-site 3d printers, a full wood shop, casting supplies, and more.
