Vaapad Saber Armoury

Your design is our passion!
About
I first had the idea for Vaapad Saber Armoury when I was learning how to run a lathe. With a few simple instructions from a class I never wanted to take, my world was blasted wide open. Designing and building things has always been a passion of mine, and my introduction into the machining world was only the first step of many that has gotten me where I am now.

Originally, I wanted to call the store Vaapad Custom Saber Shoppe. That idea didn't last long; not only was it too much of a mouthful it sounded too similar to The Custom Saber Shop, another supplier on the market. It was shortened to just plain Vaapad Customs, and I rolled with that idea for a while. I eventually made the final change because I felt that the name placed an unwanted limiter on what I would be making. I originally thought that I would only be producing one-off custom lightsabers, so it suited that fine, but as I've learned more and more I wanted to expand.

Today, Vaapad Saber Armoury is leaps and bounds ahead of the original dream; and yet has leaps and bounds more to grow. I've earned a degree in manufacturing technology with an emphasis on machining and additional classes in things like welding, CAD, metallurgy, production techinques and strategies, and so on - but I find there is always more to learn. The mindset of a lifelong student is critical for anyone, but especially those dedicated to providing innovative, top-of-the line products and service. Though much has changed, one thing has remained constant from the very beginning, and will continue to be the foundation of the Vaapad Saber Armoury business model: The goal of bringing dreams to life. There is no reward like seeing someone watch these ideas come to fruition, holding a lightsaber for the first time, or learning more about the sabering world in general. Now and always, your design is our passion!
