We are two artists who met while working the high-end commercial 3D animation circuit in NYC. Then, as things go, we kind of lost touch. Then, as things go, we met again. But there was something new this time. Actually 4 somethings, tweens and teens.
As exciting as 3D computer animation is (at least we think so) it's not easy to explain. With the advent of 3D printers we grabbed the opportunity to show our kids what their dads specific skill set can do while creating fun stuff for them.
Soon they found our artistic and technical project interesting and took control: adding and critiquing the prints and offering, a nicer way to say demanding, their own designs. And with a flurry of ideas and excitement we have started a business to sell our dope ("cool" for anyone over 30) 3D prints.
Now if we can get them to clean their rooms we'll have done our jobs.
