Product Description

(Unpainted model) This model shows how the torus (3,2) knot can flex open to define a regular Tetrahedron. Also shown is the Enneper minimal surface which the knot bounds. A flexible (3,2) knot model is also available elsewhere in the 3D Geometry shop. The Tetrahedron is the minimum polyhedron and is the basis for much of R. Buckminster Fuller's Synergetics geometry. Further descriptions of the knot and its association to 3D geometry can be found in the book The Mereon Matrix, Dennis, McNair, Kauffman (ed.), Elsevier, 2013.
