With the elegant Silk vase collection, Lumitoro has expanded its designs into the world of ceramics. Each vase gets its unique name from a silk fabric that characterises its fluid and gentle figure.
This minimalistic piece is inspired by the graceful Habutai silk, a shimmering lightweight material once used mainly for making silk kimonos. The word Habutai, comes from the Japanese Habutae, 羽二重, literally "feather two layer".
Like all the vases in the Silk collection, it is very tactile and invites exploration. Its body catches light in stunning ways and has various different graphical expressions when seen from different angles.
