Product Description
Carriage 110 is a Ffestiniog Railway all third class saloon in the Tin Carr series built in 1975 and entered service 26 May 1975 and was the first steel carriage with a semi-stressed skin and centre spine underframe to be designed and built at Boston Lodge and it was first used on the Gelliwiog shuttle service in a very basic form with only fixed windows and wooden seats. It was originally numbered 30 in the open carriage series but the number wasn't carried as the paintwork was only undercoat in this form. When it was completed and fitted out as an enclosed corridor coach it was renumbered into the relevant numbering series as 110. 110 received attention including interior clean up, thorough de-rusting, repainting and revarnishing during late 2010. This model is 1:76/009 scale and fits the Narrow planet Ffestiniog Railway modern coach bogies (pair) with couplings of your choice and can negotiate tight radius curves up to 12 inches. The model also requires painting, window glazing and your spare time to complete.
