Fact: Jupiter's rapid rotation causes the equator to bulge out by a significant amount. This difference is more than enough to give Jupiter a slight oval shape, which when someone is aware of it is more than easily noticable to the naked eye.

As a result, this model is also offered in an alternative version called "oblate jupiter" that reproduces this effect to actual scale.

Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system. A gas giant 1/10th the radius of the sun and two and a half times as massive as all of the other planets of the solar system combined.

Lacking of a solid surface, Jupiter is crisscrossed with colourful clouds layers and meteorological features the size of other astronomical bodies. The most famous being the Great Red Spot, a cyclone twice as big as Earth.
