Hard to come up with a good name for this project. It started in an attempt to capture Time in a small desktop format: a derelict robot in a desktop terrarium, overgrown with moss and small plants. Over some conversation with SW in several forum threads, the project evolved into these planters designed to hold a small interchangeable companion piece. The growing plant makes the entire assembly evolve and change through time, and the companion piece provides a sort of constant, or variable, depending on your whim.
Two planters are available. The original Tree, larger of the two. and a smaller two tiered planter, inspired by the small ground vine plant that is in the photos.
The companion pieces can be printed in flexible plastics or steel and precious metals, allowing for a large variety of final finishes. These only show a few of the many possibilities. One can see the entire ensemble evolving through Time in these photos.
