    More new designs. Can you tell I'm gearing up for the holidays? My husband has been suggesting that I do something more mainstream; he suggested cats, I did orchids.
    (1) Cymbidium, a boring but beautiful horticultural variety that probably everyone has seen somewhere, sometime:

    (2) a wild orchid called the Ophrys Bee Orchid, which looks like a bee visiting a flower and tricks real bees into mating with it, thus facilitating the exchange of pollen:

    and (3) another wild orchid, the Cypripedium Lady's Slipper:
