Awesome idea!

I finally got around to ordering this model.






There's some adjustments to make;
The hole in the head that goes onto the body is a bit tight.
The wax inside is quite translucent and needs to be thicker.
Possibly the teeth need to be enhanced a bit to make them mode noticeable.

I'll polish up the head, as is and see how it tuns out.

Have you considered glow in the dark paint? This company offers invisible paint that glows super bright at night and is white during the day. It supposedly lasts up to 15 years, is super bright and lasts for hours after activated. I ordered their "STARGLOW GREEN XL" to put inside the eye sockets of my beads, but I wonder what it'll look like inside the head of your model. Now that I think about it, it might make it less translucent during the day, but at night/low light it should make the detail pop.

I made a little polishing rig, using LEGO



After playing with the head for a while, the dimensions seem to be spot on.
