Coraline is a line of jewellery inspired by the different species of the coral sea. It is realized with the 3D printing technology.
The organic design is auto-generative. It is achieved through the application of a formula present in nature to computer programs that allow to rework shapes. The result is a range of shapes that are artistic, natural and spontaneous at the same time. As innovator in 3D printing, Shapeways will take care of both production and sell of jewels. The line is realized in Strong and Flexible Plastic (biodegradable in only 40 years) and offers one size only, because it relies of the adaptability of material to every size thanks to human skin temperature and elasticity.Jewels can be printed in all colours of Strong and Flexible Plastic, but other materials provided by Shapeways can be used as well.

Coraline è una linea di gioielli ispirata alle diverse specie di coralli marini, realizzata con la tecnologia di stampa 3D. Il design organico è auto-generativo, proprio perché il corallo è un organismo vivo e merita una texture che si adatti al volume naturalmente.
La texture è data da una formula presente in natura, applicata attraverso dei software che permettono la rielaborazione delle forme, così da risultare artistiche, ma al tempo stesso naturali e spontanee.La produzione della linea è in esclusiva in vendita su Shapeways, in quanto innovatrice nel settore della stampa 3D. La linea ha un'unica taglia, pensata per essere prodotta con "Strong and Flexible Plastic", biodegradabile in soli 40 anni, perché sfrutta le capacità del materiale di adattarsi grazie alla propria elasticità ed al calore pelle, che ne ammorbidisce le forme. I gioielli potranno essere stampati in tutti i colori di Strong and Flexible Plastic, ma anche in altri materiali forniti da Shapeways.
