This beetle is Mecynorrhina oberthuri decorata from (Tanzania). Some people refer to them as "scarab" beetles About the materials. White Strong and Flexible was used to print the model shown in the photo. It's a little rough but I can sand it smooth and actually give it a little sheen or polish. It paints well. Frosted Detail or Frosted Ultra Detail are my favorites since the details are excellent. Designer Notes: This version 3 has more inflated legs for better printing
