Product Description
Here are three renditions of a box and barrel prop for your Hothy diorama, sized to the De Agostini Falcon. Hoseless version (see below)
Scattered around Echo Base on the frigid world of Hoth are these mystery box thingies. Because of their resemblance to Gonk droids, they're presumed to be some sort of power box type of dealie, but of course, they're just made of plastic barrels and crates, slapped together with some bits of hose and scrap. There appear to be at least four of them on the Hoth set, including one by the rear part of the Falcon.
Note that we don't have photographic details covering any one thingy in good detail, and I'm sure there were never any blueprints for them. So these are idealized boxes based on a number of different photos and screenshots. Size-wise I've had to guess based on photos showing humans standing reasonably close to them, but again, it's all a lot of guesswork.
To save money I've modelled the thingies on a single sprue. It's easy to cut them apart once they're cleaned and painted.
This set does NOT have the hoses that join the barrels and boxes. This is to save money, reduce the risk of breakage in shipment, and also to improve the accuracy of the model. 3D printed hoses have to be a bit oversized to be printable, and can easily snap off. The parts have holes in the right places and correct angles for simple wires to be added. They need to be 1.25mm or 3/64 in diameter.

These accurizing parts are not mass-market commercial products. I made them for my own use, and have put them here in case they're of interest to someone else. Possibly you, since you’re reading this.
These are components for the serious model maker who wants to build a more accurate miniature. They require finishing. If you don't want to trim, file, sand, and glue, then these aren't the parts you're looking for!
The parts are tiny, and easily broken. They push the limits of today's 3D printers. The detail in the digital previews is all there, but it won't always be visible at the miniscule sizes that this scale requires!
