Hi,
I am designing a component of lengh:5 CM, Width: 3CM, Height: 2CM. It consist two parts with each height 1 CM. I want to fit the top part and bottom part using snap fit design. Length of the snap fit region is .5 CM in the mid of the component length.
I would like to know the following design criterias.
What is the plastic material which supports such features more effectively ?. since it involves flexing of the plastic to fit, and pressing to open.
What is the best snap fit design for such small size component?.
If anybody has experience in this please throw some light  .
