A clock frozen in time, the Time Keeper commemorates a birth date, an anniversary, or any other significant moment in your life, in history, or the future. It will keep that time with perfect accuracy, forever. You set the date and time. You can also include a short message below the date.
UPDATE: The Time Keeper has been thickened 50% to ensure printability.

It will keep that time with perfect accuracy, forever. You set the date and time. You can also include a short message below the date. The Time Keeper Pendant is 75% of the original size. 1.5 inches wide. UPDATE: The Time keeper has been thickened 50% to ensure printability.
The Fire Gauntlet is an articulated hard-shelled glove, 3D printed all at once, fully assembled. The model is based on a 3D scan of my hand, with a 1.5mm clearance between the scanned surface and the printed model to allow for a Nomex cloth lining. Ideally the final design would be in stainless steel, but there are many challenges to making that happen. This prototype is a good start.
This version is only for display and is bonded to the production frame. It was printed using White Strong & Flexible material, painted and mounted on a wooden base.
The pencil is mightier than the sword. The original concept for this included having a selection of these miniature medieval designs vertically on a rack, with the hardness of the pencil written on each topper.
This beautiful sea shell pendant is designed by nature, and respectfully reinterpreted with modern scanning and fabrication techniques. Hanging loops have been sculpted in, true to the style of the original shell.
The hyperbolic projector is a finely tuned expressive instrument worn on the end of a finger. It's capable of amplifying the dramatic content of your speech by up to twenty times.
When worn on the index finger, it has a range of approximately 10 yards with a 15 degree beam angle.
It also works when pointed upward, as when used in traffic, and has been shown to effectively confuse and disorient the target for up to 15 seconds. Those with smaller fingers might wear the Hyperbolic Projector on their thumb, making it easy to conceal, and maintaining the element of surprise. Available in small, medium and large. Large size is roughly equal to a 17mm thimble.
This is the framework for a work-in-progress. A subdivided dodecahedron provides the basis for this complicated truss. There are circular holes on the vertices, edge-middles and face-centers of the original object. The holes are designed to accept snap-in inserts in three sizes, making it easy to add the additional parts and a pedestal to the sculpture.
A small set of drawers for your 3d-printed jewelry collection. I found an old-fashioned pharmacy bottle in the back yard of a New England farmhouse, and years later I've scanned the bottle and created a variety of works based on it. This piece is printed all at once with the drawers in place. 10.5 inches wide, 5 inches high. A larger version is available Here. At this scale it is best suited to store rings and small earrings.
These decorative keys can symbolize a secret, commemorate an event, or simply be worn as an accessory. They can be printed with custom text, about 18 characters on each side. If you leave the text fields blank, the shaft of the key will not be flattened. There are four styles available.
This wax seal stamp combines graceful curves with classical and mechanical accents, and is a perfect way to add a personal touch to your gifts, packages or written correspondence. It can be customized with your initials or an embossed crest or other symbol. You may use both, and the crest will be behind the lettering. You can choose the border of the stamp and apply a twist to the handle if desired.
One of the headpieces I created for Halloween 2010. This model is based on a 3D scan of my head to ensure a perfect fit, but it also fit well for everyone else who tried it. In the video below, a VRML viewer was used to explore the design and run around in it like a video game. It is fairly sturdy but be aware that your Head Village may be missing a few trees by the time it gets to you.
This version of the Time Keeper has been thickened to survive production in Sandstone material, but it's still below the minimum wall thickness. I have been making these myself, and I've made more than 100 unique versions so far. You can buy them on Etsy here: Fleeting Time Keeper. The video below shows the production process.
A hollow spike ball about an inch wide, including the concavely tapered spikes. This item is not polished due to the fine features, so it has an interesting, gritty texture. It has a small loop hole on one side to allow you to thread it onto a necklace or lanyard.
This model is a piece of a sculpture. It is designed to lock into holes on another model, but also looks interesting by itself. UPDATE: recently doubled in size to ensure better results in stainless steel.
A steampunk thimble combining mechanical accents with graceful flowing lines reminicent of magnetic or etheric fields. Available in small, medium and large. Medium size is roughly equal to a 17mm thimble.
This device sits on your Next Engine scanning platform to help you get the best quality scans. It works by providing extra geometry to increase alignment accuracy. This is especially useful for scanning objects that have a very regular shape like a sphere or a cylinder. It also helps with manual alignment by giving you recognizable reference points. This version has been volume-optimized for the lowest price. If you have your own 3D-printer you can download a solid version of the tracker for free at Thingiverse.com Here.
