This is an entry for the fashion and jewelry section of the Flextest competition. It's a simple typographic bangle that's all about being flexible. It's designed to be a low cost, fun fashion accessory that doesn't take itself too seriously - and celebrates the awesomeness of 3D printing in flexible, squishy material. Wear the future of flexible cool on your wrist and say to the world "hey, I love being flexible!"
To take advantage of the new material, it fastens by slipping the heart through the space between the "I" and the "L" of "I love", showing the flexibility of the material itself. The type is Fontsmith "Lola" bold oblique, an independent UK type face (licensed version, obviously) that works very well for 3D print applications. It's designed in the spirit of the Shoreditch fashion scene in London - situated near the area called 'silicon roundabout', where all the cool tech start-ups are. The messaging also reflects the process of designing for new materials in 3D printing - because you *have* to be flexible about how you approach 3D print design.
