About
I volunteered in a self contained autisum classroom for 4 years, 2 years later I became a substitute and now I have been a full time teacher's aide for 6 fantasic school years! I also babysit for some sped families. The way that my students see the world is amazing and many times I wish I could really understand what is going on in their head. Personally I have a heart condition called Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome, which means that the side of my heart that pumps blood to my lungs did not form. After a few heart surgeries, they bypassed that side completely and stabilized my heart. Having only half a heart does mean you get tired faster and because of my chest being opened more than once, they don't want me to play contact sports. But that doesn't mean life is boring! I enjoy my classic cars and all of the kids I work with. As the impossible cube I made proves nothing is impossible. It shows it just might take a lot of time, effort and patience!
