How is it possible that mathematics, a product of human thought that is independent of experience, fits so excellently the objects of reality? Albert Einstein
About
I am captivated by patterns, symmetry, and ideal proportions. And we see daily examples of these all around us if we just care to look. My models inspired by nature are just perfect mathematical symmetries, an abstraction of the beauty of the natural world. Like many of us I am also intrigued by mathematical surfaces, such as mobius, minimal, or saddle, by polyhedral solids, Voronoi patterns, or fractal design. My designs started with a stellated dodecahedron, and from there all was history, I got hooked. I get equal pleasure in succeeding to do a new design in Blender as I get in receiving the actual 3D model. Lots of times the 3D printed reality is a perfect match to my virtual 3D object, but sometimes it is so much more. Somebody here once said that the 3D prints are “wearable sculptures”. I like to think of them as real representations of ideal nature. I hope you will enjoy the 3D prints as much as I do. Thanks for visiting.
