THE DESIGNER - SOGAND NOBAHAR
I can’t say I am an artist or a designer or an engineer. I think to be a mix of all.
I’ve always been interested in handicrafts and my curios and dynamic mind allowed me to constantly accept the challenges and to deal perfectly with new problems.
I was talented in painting and drawing but I studied mathematics. I faced an important choice: Talent or Skill?
I decided to study Industrial Design in Tehran (Iran) to have a sufficiently general education. Still: Taste or Opinion?
I didn’t choose, I completed my education both in design and engineering in Italy.
The achievement of different degrees and different work experiences challenged me to start my company without being identified with any label. Nobahar Design is a place in which I may be an artist, a designer, an engineer and a researcher.
As Nassim Nicholas Taleb says:
“I want to live happily in a world I don’t understand.”
Is it unconventional? Well, let it be as unconventional as it is!
THE COMPANY - NOBAHAR DESIGN
The word “nobahar” means new-spring, symbol of rebirth, renewal and regrowth. These are the base on which Nobahar Design was born.
Each design is build on a strong concept and every idea is translated into a meaningful appearance.
Nobahar Design is based on mix and match, combination of tradition and innovation in every aspect: materials, designs and concepts.
Blending gives us a new way of seeing, perceiving and interacting with our world. It has an indelible effect on our senses, and this will leads to have unique and statement pieces.
