Red String Designs

​I have long had a love for gemstones, especially colored stones, but it was only a hobby while I worked in the medical field.  I designed a few necklaces for friends with shops but mostly I stayed attached to medicine.  When I got out of the military I decided it was time for a change and applied to GIA's New York campus.  

The red string of fate is said to tie one's soul with that of another.  It's a legend that says we are bound to those we love by fate.  I believe that should be true for gems and jewelry as well.  If a piece of jewelry calls to you, or calls the name of someone you love, it is special.  If a gemstone makes someone's eyes come alight or the enamel work on a piece makes them smile, then it's a purchase they can be happy with for years to come
