Many parts have been successfully tested several times. Others, for example impeller pitches, could not already because of the limitations of the drive train. The goal is to achieve the best possible harmony of the drive. To achieve this, it is of course necessary to have a wide variety of parts at hand.
3D printing is very helpful here. But one should not expect excessive precision of the parts. Some reworking is unavoidable here and there. But I think with the comparatively low price compared to CNC production, this is bearable.
