Use these key tags to identify what key goes with what lock.  If you have lots of key locks like I do it helps to paint a lock number on each lock and attach the lock keys to corresponding key tags.  These key tags have engraved lock numbers which may be darkened using a fine point permanent marker such as a Sharpie to increase legibility.

The key tags are connected together using a short plastic cord that can be cut using a pair of sturdy scissors or wire cutters.  You can never be too organized.
