Hi all!

I want to make a model of this railway snow-plow.
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-NqUrYZEYmYY/UOlETdEKGeI/AAAAAAAACso/YNb_chwItog/s640/leveransfoto.jpg

I have a copy of the official drawing with contours/frames.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-bosG1PmFsL0/UOlJVfO5tFI/AAAAAAAACtA/B1dX5XBHJWM/s640/Mbr%25206265.jpg

From this I've created the shape below in Sketchup
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-MVo24nZHw4k/UOlDl1XCXjI/AAAAAAAACsg/gyTYGFcXp2g/s640/B20%2520januari%25205-2.jpg

But when try to apply a surface (called Sandbox in Sketchup) to the frames Sketchup makes a mess. It doesn't seem to handle inward curved surfaces.

Any ideas on how I shall create a surface like this? Is there any (free) tool better suited to this task than Sketchup?

Thanks in advance

Olof
