Direct Credit Card Support?

  1. Is there a reason you don't either directly support credit cards or use an ecommerce portal that can process credit card payments (that is not PayPal)?

    My reason for asking this is that I have been burned by PayPal in the past (to the tune of $700$+) and would really prefer not to deal with them at all if I have the option.

  3. This is a timely concern because it is not good to lose money due to errors of some sort. It is also important, especially for credit card users not to be victim of information theft.
