It is Brass. the blackening was done by hand.
Remember, you'll get the product without blackening. Unfortunately Shapeways does not provide this service. But you can blacken your jewelry in brass, bronze and silver by yourself using a boiled egg or special chemicals. Just look an instruction on the internet by keywords "how to blacken silver" or other similar. Also, your ring will get blackening over time.
