kylogoemon@fjschuler This looks awesome. Perhaps you could find a way to add some sort of pegs to the back of it so it could attach to Grimlock's dino and/or robot mode, plus maybe a jet engine or two on the bottom, so it could function as a jetpack for the other modes.
kylogoemon Late reply to an earlier comment - if you use this head on a Drag Strip body, the head will fit nicely under the front of the race car in vehicle/combined mode. Simply turn the head 180 degrees and tilt it upward (chin up), until it fits snugly under the front piece. The diagonal orientation of the head works fine and does not drag along the surface when in car mode (the combiner peg in his chest actually sits slightly lower than the lowest point of the Jallguar head). No cutting to the car's front is necessary.
kylogoemon Any chance of developing a version that consists of two pieces that fit around the stock rotor assembly, even if they have to be super-glued on? Removing pins from the original figure is not for the faint of heart, and it would be nice to simply attach two additional blade housings to create a four-blade assembly.
kylogoemon@SteamShield Regarding decade10's question, I think he was asking if the cone-shaped drill piece alone has a 5mm post at the back that points in the exact opposite direction as the drill's tip. That way, it could be plugged into the hand socket of Rook (or any redeco of the same figure), or even into the hand socket of an assembled combiner where you would normally insert the hand-foot-gun as the combiner's hand. This would create a look similar to the original G1 Devastator's hands that could be swapped out for the large drills. Based on the 3D preview model above, it looks like this is possible (because the long rod that looks like a mini pencil is actually the drill's tip and the 5mm post).
kylogoemon Any chance of making this available in blue strong & flexible polished? I'd probably paint it anyway for use with Drillhorn, but it's nice to have the joints be a similar color, so the slight rubbing that naturally occurs isn't so obvious.
kylogoemon Bought it in metallic plastic and it's perfect. Fits nicely and provides a necessary improvement to the figure. I used a small bit of super glue to permanently attach it to the figure's back piece (which does not in any way affect or hinder his transformation/articulation). This adaptor does have a slight tendency to pop off sometimes when removing his back kibble, so gluing it down for good to his back works wonders.
kylogoemon Excellent accessory. Looks great with Liokaiser. The links that are molded to any one of the three sticks are very delicate and are susceptible to bending/breaking (one of mine was showing stress like it would break within the first few hours of owning it), so a little reinforcement with super glue around where the link merges with the nunchaku stick seems to have strengthened it nicely.
kylogoemon Wonderful addition to an already great figure (yeah, despite what you've heard, UW Blast Off is pretty nifty). Fits nicely and looks great in all modes - I especially like the way the guns fit under the wings in shuttle mode. Had to paint over the two white dots on each one after cutting it from the sprue, but that can't be helped. Excellent.
kylogoemon Just received mine and it is an excellent addition to Menasor. The small peg that connects to Blackjack's back is too thin and will need some super glue, but the way this enhances Menasor's sword (and therefore, the figure in general) makes it a must-have. Would look great spray-painted silver to match. It's clearly better than some of those third-party sword-extenders out there.
kylogoemon Maybe it has something to do with a slightly different consistency of the material used for black, because I see that several other colors are available with a polished finish. Again, the item is still great, nonetheless.
kylogoemon Just got mine and it's a great accessory for Swindle. Only question - why isn't black available in strong & flexible polished? Without the polishing, it kinda looks like it's made of charcoal. Minor gripe; otherwise the sculpting and fit is fantastic.
kylogoemon Absolutely fantastic upgrade to CW Blades. Bought 'em in white polished and they look and feel great on the figure. Blades' old arms come off a little easier if you flex the elbow to a full 90-degree angle. The red plastic may stress a little on those old arms, but once you put these replacements on, you won't want to switch them back ever.
