These unique rings are for telling apart everyones' wine glasses at a party. Put the ring around the stem of the wine glass at its thinnest spot and let it slide to the bottom.
Inner diameter: 20mm
Gap: 7mm
Please check the dimensions of your wine glasses. The ring material is slightly flexible.
This model contains 11 interlocked rings. It is good for demonstrating the possibilities of 3D printing and objects without division lines. I have used this in presentations such as PechaKucha and TEDxOsaka.
A spherical case for carrying small items that might otherwise get lost in your bag or pockets. Rotate the inner sphere to open and close.
Due to the structure and variations in the printing process the inner sphere might be hard or impossible to rotate first. Squeezing the case in your hands helps to detach the spheres.
Alternatively drop (10 cm or 4 inches height) the case several times on a hard surface and let it bounce around. In extreme case insert dental floss between the two spheres and use that to detach them.
When the spheres are detached start by rotating the inner sphere gently into both directions.
Please note!
If you select the colored version of Strong & Flexible material be prepared for some difficulties in detaching the spheres. Also the color dye does not spread evenly on the outer surface of the inner sphere.
Update
Shapeways has informed me this object can not be dyed properly. Therefore it is only available in white and alumide (not tested).
