Clothoid.A lamp is created by a mathematical curve formula and then that spline is lofted in 3d CAD software. Resulting form is parametric and adjustable in almost infinite number of combinations.
You can imagine this 3D form as afterimage of one single point in space as it moves, self-intersecting and rotating around, creating this 3D object. Whole shade form is actually one single line... wrapping around itself. Whole 3d printed light shade is created in one piece.

This is a wall clock. Only the body of the clock is 3D printed by Shapeways and is made for 100 percent competition. Clock mechanism will be added to the package when ordered through alienology.com (item will be added soon).

Tectonic:Plate has arrived :)
Created parametrically in 3D CAD, version pictured here is optimised for WSF material. Size and depth of the plate can vary as well as density and clustering of cells.
Patterns are created by simulating hard body physics in 3D software at the moment of impact.
So, yeah, these are breakage patterns solidified.
Coming up: Glass and Sandstone versions.
