The Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman is a mid-century modern design classic first released in 1956 by husband and wife design team Charles and Ray Eames but even after ovder 50 years of being in production, even the reproductions are prohibitively expensive, until now.
The Mini Eames Lounge Chair by kspence is a 1:20 scale miniature is about 2 inches tall and at just over $25 as a full color 3D Print is 1:67th the cost of a full scale reproduction. Do the math, it’s a bargain and you can hold a piece of design history in the palm of your hand, maybe even make the perfect seat for Sad Keanu?
wait till the Eames foundation comes knocking for making money off their property xP
Thanks for featuring me, Shapeways! Really excited about this, and I’ve got more on the way, so stick tuned. Also, I reduced the price so it’s a cool, even $25.
Also, if you want to request a mini designer chair (or anything), email me and I’ll be happy to put it up on my shop!
Hello! I understand this is kind of off-topic but I
had to ask. Does running a well-established blog such as yours require
a lot of work? I am brand new to blogging but I do write in my diary on a daily basis.
I’d like to start a blog so I can easily share my experience and views online. Please let me know if you have any recommendations or tips for new aspiring blog owners. Thankyou!
Hello Kevin,
I am the Brand Manager at Soren Rose Studio.
We would like to try printing out some of our limited edition furniture.
Could you please get in touch with me?
Thank you
Pity you do not work in 1/12 or 1/24 scale to the international dolls house standards.
Is that so? Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I will put this to work
I added more scaled versions of the chair! Look at the bottom of the product page
Really like the design/finish/coloring, price is ok, keep going !
This is what I’m talking about. I have a desire to create 3-D miniatures of Star Trek furniture. Captain’s Chair from Star Trek Voyager, conference room table and chairs from Star Trek The Original Series, etc. Done as art pieces and in the size that is presented in this example. I would love to learn how to do this. Create it, print it in color, share it with everyone. That is my dream. Feel free to send my any information or ideas at my email address. Falls in line with a personal project I am working on.
