Through SGEDESIGNS I invent and develop products for myself and others. I’ve had the good fortune and stubborn determination to design my way through life, from model cars and camera grips to sculptural woodwork and jewelry, to displays, furniture, and new products; inventing is what gets me out of bed in the morning, and keeps me on the computer until the wee hours.

I've always been drawing, making or designing something, from ray guns to scale model cars, to rockets and the control rooms for launching them. A long-standing endeavor of mine is Eastboard Consoles, a company specializing in the design of consoles and control rooms for the broadcasting industry. Beginning with a small shop and me doing all the fabrication, growing until today, Eastboard is a division of a larger cabinet company. Along the way, I've worked with wood, plastics, composites and metals, and manufacturing methods from hand-cut dovetails to CNC machining. I've been avidly 3D printing since 2012, for prototypes and end use products.
SGEDESIGNS encompasses all my design efforts, from technical furniture to concept development and prototyping. Several products I’ve invented are already in production and national distribution, and more are on the way; see www.sgedesignsinc.com. One of my goals in life is to reduce planetary stress levels by creating surprisingly useful, simple things which make life easier, one person at a time.
