Marble Run Bricks are LEGO®-compatible track elements, constructed for all those LEGO® fans who always wanted to build marble runs with LEGO® bricks.
Although LEGO® bricks are great for support structure, for straight tracks as well as for ball lifts and other moving parts, their possibilities to create smooth curves or gentle slopes are limited. Marble Run Bricks are designed to fill this gap, complementing the vast possibilities of LEGO® bricks with the typical track elements needed for roller-coaster style marble runs. New elements will be added occasionally, ideas and suggestions are welcome.
All track elements are two studs wide on the outside, and can be used with 10 to 12 mm balls. Heavy balls such as steel ball bearings or glass marbles are recommended.
Shapeways’ Strong & Flexible Plastic cannot be as precise as the injection molded ABS most LEGO® bricks are made of. Marble Run Bricks often stick to LEGO® bricks either more firmly or more loosely than other LEGO® bricks, but you should always achieve enough stability, if you use all stud connections.
