My designs are based on strong sinuous lines with minimal embellishment, a contemporary minimalism with a feel for the ancient forms that inspire them.
My original impetus to make jewellery was in the notion of how the weight of tribal and ancient jewellery added to the grace of the wearer's movement, thinking of the languorous walk of tribal African and Asian women.
