Frail and easily penetrated by high velocity weapons when deployed alone, a four man squad working in tandem is capable of blanketing an area with dense enough shielding to deflect anti personnel calibers and shrapnel from fragmentation weapons. Despite this protection provided to nearby friendlies, standard troopers often avoid being to close as when severely damaged the generators sometimes explode and fry everything within a meter or so.
