Design study for a German 'America Bomber' (to bomb the Eastern USA from Europe) dating from 1941. The original proposal was for a multi-role aircraft that could act as heavy transport, ultra long range maritime reconnaissance, strategic bomber or tactical bomber (with up to 20 tons of bombs). Design work was halted in 1943 when the tide of WW2 turned against Germany and resources had to be prioritised for defence.
Because this aircraft is so big (50m wingspan) and the available information rather limited I decided not to try and model the canopies so that it could be used either as 1/300 full size or as a 2/3 scale prototype in 1/200.
This model is designed with a spherical recess for mounting on an 8mm BB.
