Don't buy this puzzle. Really, it's a failed experiment, and it's terrible to turn. I actually had to make a tool to be able to turn it. I've got a whole bunch of other really great puzzles for sale. Buy those instead, you'll be much happier.
Geometry:
Fracture-10 Unbandaged is a variant of my previous Fracture-10 puzzle. With this new version, all axes can turn at 90 degrees at any time, so the puzzle has been turned into a non-jumbling, doctrinaire puzzle. Unfortunately so much material had to be removed from the puzzle that it no longer turns easily at all. Only buy this puzzle if you want it as a display piece, as it is difficult to use, and must be turned with the tool as shown in the video. The tool is included in this model.
Other Items Needed:
Dye: If you want the puzzle to be black, you can save money by dyeing the pieces yourself with a nylon dye such as RIT or Dylon. Or Shapeways can dye the parts for you at an additional cost.
Stickers: Template available in the instructions forum. If you want professionally cut stickers, I recommend Oliver’s Stickers.
Snap Together: No hardware such as screws and springs are needed.
Degree of Difficulty:
Assembly: Easy to assemble.
Solving: Easier than Fracture-10.
Playability:
Loose parts may fall out, and the turning tool (included) must be used, otherwise it is virtually impossible to turn.
Have fun!
