Product Description
Ever wanted to connect a PET softdrink bottle to standard plumbing fittings ?? This cap screws onto a PET softdrink bottle and has a 20 mm (3/4 inch) male BSP taper (ISO 7) thread. NOTE: a 118 "O" ring is required to get a good seal to the bottle top.
To assemble - clean any dust out of the O ring groove using a wooden matchstick or similar. BEFORE fitting the O ring - pack some grease or petroleum jelly (Vaseline) into the groove - spreading it evenly as much as you can. Press the O ring in using a matchstick and clean out any grease / petroleum jelly that got squeezed out. The plumbing thread can be sealed with thread tape or a liquid / paste thread sealer.
PLEASE NOTE: Pressurising / pumping up soft drink bottles can be very dangerous !! It is however great fun and I used this to make my kids a mortar that fires a tennis ball 60 metres when the bottle is pumped up to 80 PSI.
