HO 1/87 railroad gondola hood #3 (170mm x 37mm)

Designed for a customer who wanted these hoods to fit his MDC/Athearn Bathtub gondolas. These hoods have outside dimensions of 170mm x 37mm to mate with the top lip of these gondolas. I have modelled location pegs on the underside of the hood to allow them to be dropped onto the gondola, so they do not need to be glued in place. I have created several different variants of this type of hood. Railroads seem to be using these more often on cars containing powdered commodities to prevent spillage/contamination, & give themselves a 'green' image.
