HO (1:87) scale Sri Lankan Railways M6
About the kit:
This is a simple four piece easy-build kit. This kit is meant to represent the M6 that runs on the Sri Lankan Railways. You will need a few other things to complete the kit, they are listed below.
What you need to complete it?
- A pair of motorized bogies (see below for more details)
- A pair of Bogie Mounting Clips (Sr. No. JBM-SPARE-001)
- A pair of Horns and a set of Vacuum Pipes (Sr. No. JBM-SPARE-002)
- 2x Kadee #141 Long Shank Whisker Couplers
- 2x Kadee #242 Coupler Gearboxes
- Clear 0.5mm plastic sheet (for the glazing)
- Basic modelling tools and skills
- Paints and decals
How to power your model?
We've teamed up with Mark Clark from "Locos n' Stuff" in the UK to supply motorized bogies for all our Sri Lankan Railway BG locomotives. Mark offers excellent 3D printed motorized bogies that can be customized to suit your requirements. We've already chosen a good combination. However you have the option to use single or dual motorized bogies. You also have an option to select your gauge, by default it's 16.5mm guage (HO gauge), but you can also have 18.83mm gauge (P4 gauge) if you wish to replicate Sri Lankan Railway Broad Gauge faithfully. Please note that Locos n' Stuff is a small business and Mark handles quite a bit of work. Please expect a 2 week to 2 month wait for your order. Mark Clark can be contacted below:-
