RotoPrism 2VB is another shape modification of the RotoPrism 2 Prismatic version. This time, the shape has been modified slightly less than in the original RotoPrism 2. The result is that the phantom axes that appeared on the RotoPrism 2 are now visually blocked (that's the "VB" in the name). This makes playing the RotoPrism 2VB a bit easier to understand than the original RotoPrism 2, since it is clear to see when a real slice plane is available for turning.
RotoPrism 2 comes as a DIY kit of parts, and you will need to supply your own stickers. The templates for the stickers are available in the instructions forum.
I recommend that unless you are familiar with the process of dyeing these parts, you purchase the puzzle in "Black Strong & Flexible". It costs a bit more than the white material, but it's worth it since the finished puzzle will look and work better. RotoPrism 2 also requires screws and springs to assemble. These can be purchased through a few different online puzzle sellers. The springs I used came from this shop. You'll need three of the springs, combined with three 12mm M3 screws, which you'll need to purchase separately. Also, please be aware that this puzzle is designed so that the parts fit together very tightly. When assembling the puzzle you'll need to "break in" the core to make sure it is turning smoothly before finishing the assembly with the outer parts. Once it's all together it will turn very smoothly, as you can see in the video demonstration. I also made a tutorial video if you need help with the assembly.
Have fun!
