Etruscan Bee Goddess Pendant

Inspired by ancient Etruscan, gold embossed plaques, which were most likely carried to Tuscany Italy, after this ancient people migrated from Greece. Bees were revered in many ancient cultures and held sacred and a link between the natural world “nature” and the underworld. Bees are responsible for propagating crops, the making of honey (which had many uses, in addition as a natural sweetener) and for bringing order. Their hives were used as a model in ancient architecture.
