Panel Adapter for Scosche MagicMount Charge

I'm a big fan of ProClip mounting bases, because they're custom-fit for each vehicle and offer a very solid and stable mounting platform for phones and tablets. When it comes to the mount itself, I prefer Scosche's magnetic mounts. They offer "Surface" versions of their MagicMount series that are perfect for sticking onto a ProClip base. However, their MagicMount Charge series--IMO one of the best Qi-compliant chargers available--doesn't offer a low-profile "Surface" version. This adapter replaces the fork assembly on the Car Vent Mount models MQ2V and MPQ2V, making them surface-mountable while preserving their ability to rotate.

Pull the rubber vent-mount forks off of the MQ2V/MPQ2V metal frame (seriously, just grab and pull them straight off). Remove one screw, swap in this adapter, and replace the screw. Add a layer of good 3M automotive adhesive tape to the back, and it's ready to stick.
