Symbiotic 2x2x2 are two fully functional 2x2x2 Rubik's Cubes that are "grown" through each other. Each of the two 2x2x2 cubes can be scrambled and solved like a regular 2x2x2 Cube. Once the shape of the Symbiotic 2x2x2 has been restored (but not necessarily the stickers) then the other 2x2x2 can be scrambled. This adds an extra layer of confusion to the solving experience.The puzzle has four cuts in each direction, that is twelve in total. Though probably easier to solve than its sibling, the Symbiotic Cubes (based on a 3x3x3 Rubiks Cube), the mechanism of the Symbiotic 2x2x2 is significantly more complex with hidden layers of pieces.
