Product Description
This is the turret used for the U-3, or the prototype KV-2. Unlike the turret that comes with my U-3 model, this one does not have the barrel cap. I've seen versions that also have vents on the turret roof, similar to those on the production version of the KV-2, but no photographs of such, therefore I didn't bother to include them. The turret has been retroactively designated MT-1, but in 1939, it was simply called "большая башня," or "big turret." Actually, strictly speaking, the word "bashnya" means "tower," while the word for turret is "bashenka," however the latter is used to refer to the cuppola or secondary machine gun turrets (as on the KV-5), if they are present. Have fun with that.
This model is available in 1/100 (15mm) scale and 1/87 (HO gauge) scale.
