Product Description
For sale today is a kit of the NSWGR X200 Rail Tractor in HO scale.
Built on AD60 Garratt inner bogies (earning the X200s the nickname of "Little "Garratt") these engines replaced the earlies and much smaller X100 rail tractors. With 6 built in 1963, these shunters were used where larger diesel shunters were not permitted to go, and were soon also replacing aging steam locomotives.
This kit is designed to produce a freewheeling model of an X200. It may be motorised by the user, possibly by using a Bachmann Bill or Ben chassis. The user will need to add detailing items such as buffers, flushglaze, couplers, and paint. Everything is included to produce a basic freewheeling model.
