HO scale 6 wheel wood beam passenger truck 1 pair

HO scale 1:87 six wheel wood beam passenger truck based on a Jackson & Sharp design from 1880-85. Wheel base 5'+5'. The set contains 2 trucks. Designed for Kadee 33" and 36" wheel sets. To get a really free rolling truck the bearings should be very lightly reamed using for example a Micromark wheel bearing tuner. Prior to painting the trucks should be thoroughly cleaned in denatured alcohol and dishwashing liquid to get rid of the process wax. Use primer coat and then enamel or acrylic paint. The truck is mounted to the car body with a screw through a recessed hole over the center wheel set axle. When mounting the truck to the car body have only the outer wheel sets in place and after the screw has been tightened just slip in the center wheel set. Tip: Sometimes depending on how the truck is oriented when printed the sides can be a little rough. If this occur, take a small X-acto knife and a very small screwdriver and carefully scrape the rough surface until it is smooth.
