Product Description
The idea behind our design is to make reading any size book easier to handle. In a digital age when books are online or taped, we forget the simple pleasure of holding the book in our hands and flipping the pages. As college students, my friend Taryn and I understand that owning the physical book is still very important whether it be a novel or textbook. The hassle with reading the physical book is having to constantly prop it open with at least one hand so that it doesn’t close on you. This primarily happens when you are at the beginning or end of the book because the distribution of pages from the right side compared to the left are juristically different. Therefore, we designed the Book Leaf, a book accessory that keeps a books of various sizes open to the desired page without the use of your hands.
Another feature is being able to turn the pages while still having the Book Leaf holding the remaining pages and propping the book open. The pages will be fed through the openings between the branches of the Book Leaf. This acts as the clipping mechanism so that it still holds the book open but there is freedom for the reader to flip the page and once done reading it doubles as a bookmark.
