Product Description

The M224 was designed as a medium fighter for the French colonial forces to supplement the proven M112 light fighter. By European standards the M224 is nothing special but its ease of maintenace makes it a valuable tool for units deployed to remote locations. As the service manuals are only available in French the aircarft is generally restricted to the Francophone factions.

This model is based on a design in the 'Pathways through the Pacific' sourcebook by user Grant of the Montana Raiders forum. I have mored the V8 engine forward so that it is closer to the aircraft's centre of lift to make it quicker to manoeuvre. I assume the very large radiator ducts on each side of the fuselage are to ensure adequate cooling at maximum power when flying at low altitude in tropical conditions.

The spherical depresion underneath the model is for mounting it on a 4.5mm BB.
